Cineridge Entertainment Announces Arthouse Division

Cineridge Entertainment announces it has launched an arthouse classics division with the imprint Cineridge Classics, which will be run by President of Production Rich Mallery. The first films under this banner are the thriller dramas MAID DROID ORIGINS and FERAL to be released this Fall. All of the productions under the Classics division will be distributed worldwide by Cinema Epoch.

MAID DROID ORIGINS stars Katie Kay (Realm) and Bryan Brewer (Blow Out). After Eve, a beautiful android, murders one of her clients, she runs away from the evil Syndell Corporation and hides out at the home of Timothy, the man who created her. As the two try to uncover what’s wrong with Eve’s programming, a romance develops, much to the dismay of Timothy’s wife Belle, who refuses to be replaced without a fight.

FERAL stars Fawn Winters (We Are Wolves) and Eunoia Sonders in her feature debut. After ripping off the wrong person, Ghost has one week to pay off her debts or else. Desperate to find the money, she manipulates Billie, a lost soul, into helping her steal it. Although Billie appears like easy prey, she isn’t as innocent as she seems and Ghost soon realizes she might’ve made a deadly mistake.

Both films are directed and written by Rich Mallery.

Cineridge Entertainment President Gregory Hatanaka says: “Rich Mallery has a strong artistic vision to whatever he produces and creates. We are delighted to have such a classics division to our studio that will bring edgier and thought-provoking artistic content to the ever growing audiences. Like Roger Corman’s New World Pictures, it would be a joy to make and release The Tin Drum the same year as The Brood or Breaker Morant the same year as Humanoids from the Deep!”

Rich Mallery says: “I’m so thrilled for the launch of this new division. Arthouse films have always been a passion of mine. I’m looking forward to bringing fresh, exciting films that push the envelope creatively to Cineridge Classics for audiences to enjoy.”

Production and Marketing Head for Cineridge and X-Posse President Geno McGahee says: “Rich Mallery is such a talented filmmaker that brings this unique vision and quality execution that stands out amongst other filmmakers. He is a storyteller with presentation that is a can’t miss combination. There is a reason why Mallery’s films always attract a crowd and I really look forward to watching the Arthouse Division flourish and succeed.”

Upcoming Cineridge productions from the mainstream division include A MAN IS DEAD directed by Gregory Hatanaka, SCARY TALES: DARK WALKER directed by Geno McGahee and YAKUZA GIRL directed by Louis DeStefano.
