Nicole Kidman‘s Netflix rom-com A Family Affair is just a hint of what’s to come from the actor this year – she’s also set to star in The Perfect Couple, a seriously star-studded series adapted from a top beach read. And it’s out this September.
The salacious show looks to be fronted by some amazing women, with Bad Sisters star Eve Hewson and Dakota Fanning joining Kidman to lead the series. We’ve got wealth, a dysfunctional family and one big murder mystery. On board yet?
Based on Elin Hilderbrand’s New York Times bestselling novel of the same name and executive produced by Stranger Things‘ Shawn Levy, we reckon this is going to be huge.

The Perfect Couple plot
It will follow the story set out by the novel, with the official synopsis for the series reading as follows: “Amelia Sacks (Hewson) is about to marry into one of the wealthiest families on Nantucket. Her disapproving future mother-in-law, famous novelist Greer Garrison Winbury (Kidman), has spared no expense in planning what promises to be the premiere wedding of the season — until a body turns up on the beach.
“As secrets come to light, the stage is set for a real-life investigation that feels plucked from the pages of one of Greer’s novels. Suddenly, everyone is a suspect.”
