EXCLUSIVE: Apple TV+ announced on Thursday that its hit-sci fi drama Silo, based on Hugh Howey‘s New York Times bestselling trilogy, will make its San Diego Comic-Con debut on Saturday, July 27.
For a panel conversation around what fans can look forward to in the anticipated second season, executive producer and star Rebecca Ferguson will be in attendance, along with star Common, creator and showrunner Graham Yost, executive producer Howey, and special surprise guests. The panel will be moderated by Adam Savage, Editor-in-Chief for Tested.com.
Premiering in May 2023, Silo is the story of the last 10,000 people on earth, and their mile-deep home, protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. No one knows when or why the silo was built, and any who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.
Produced for Apple TV+ by Apple Studios, Silo is exec produced by Yost, Michael Dinner, Nina Jack, Joanna Thapa, Ferguson, Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum (Defending Jacob, The Imitation Game), Howey, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and AMC Studios.
The ensemble cast also includes Emmy nominee Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelow, Emmy nominee Rashida Jones, and Academy Award winner Tim Robbins. No date for the show’s Season 2 premiere has yet been disclosed.
