When Will Challengers Be Streaming?

Luca Guadagnino’s newest film Challengers has been a hot subject of conversation since its release in late April, and fans are still flocking to the theater as it enters its second week at the box office. Naturally, many are curious about how they can watch the dramatic sports thriller from home and see if it lives up to the hype. Here’s the streaming guide for Challengers.

What is Challengers about?

The film focuses on three characters played by Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O’Connor. Zendaya is Tashi Duncan, a rising tennis star who meets two other players while they’re competing in various tennis tournaments. The trio enter in something of a love triangle, though it’s at times hard to tell who is in love with who. Tashi suffers a traumatic injury that takes her out of the game and the film skips ahead to her married life on the court sidelines.

How can you stream Challengers?

At the moment, it is only available to watch in theaters. It is an Amazon MGM Studios release, so it will be available on Amazon Prime eventually, but there is not yet a timeline.

The movie came out on April 26, however, and other movies from Amazon that come out in theaters are usually released digitally within a certain window. Saltburn in particular had a similar buzzy response online and skipped a digital release and went right to streaming on Prime. That film came out on streaming one month after its theater release.

Where will Challengers be streaming?

It is confirmed that the first streaming platform where Challengers will be available will be Prime Video. Members can stream it for free, or new viewers can sign up for a 30-day free trial to binge watch a bunch of new releases.
