‘Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes’ Official Trailer Drops During Super Bowl

UPDATED with latest trailer: Disney and 20th Century Studios used the Super Bowl on Sunday to release a promo and the official trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the latest incarnation of the iconic sci-fi franchise.

It hits theaters on May 10, 2024.

Wes Ball directed the movie from a screenplay by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Avatar: The Way of Water) and Patrick Aison (Prey), Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon and William H. Macy star.

PREVIOUSLY, November 2: The first trailer for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, from 20th Century Studios, has dropped.

Directed by Wes Ball (the Maze Runner trilogy), the script hails from by Josh Friedman (War of the Worlds), Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver (Avatar: The Way of Water) and Patrick Aison (Prey), based on characters created by Jaffa & Silver. The film stars stars Owen Teague, Freya Allan, Kevin Durand, Peter Macon and William H. Macy.

Set several generations in the future, the film follows Caesar’s reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.

Producers include Ball, Joe Hartwick Jr, Jaffa, Silver and Jason Reed, with Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping serving as executive producers. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will open exclusively in theaters nationwide May 24, 2024.
