Travis Kelce Candidly Addresses Those Taylor Swift Engagement Reports

Since December, rumors have been going around saying Travis Kelce is planning on proposing to his girlfriend of six months, Taylor Swift, soon. While sources have shut the gossip down, the Kansas City Chiefs player tackled the question head-on during a press conference Monday ahead of the Super Bowl. (The Chiefs are playing the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.) “I’m focused on getting this ring,” he said, via Billboard, referring to this year’s Super Bowl championship ring. “That’s all my mind is focused on right now.”

He additionally revealed during that same press conference that he has heard bits of Swift’s newly announced, upcoming album, The Tortured Poets Department. “I have heard some of it, yes, and it’s unbelievable,” he said. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.” He declined to share further details, saying, “I can’t give you anything. I leave that up to her.”

His remarks come shortly after two sources told Entertainment Tonight about Swift and Kelce’s dynamic.

“Travis has never felt more supported by a significant other ever,” the first source said. “This is just the beginning for them as a couple and many milestones are coming their way. Taylor and Travis make time for each other because they want to. They both take so much pride in the importance of family and love bringing their families and close-knit circles together. They are genuine, honest, loving, and forthright with each other across the board. They both continually encourage one another to be the best that they can be.”

A second source said that both Kelce and Swift have never felt this joyful. “Travis is in love with Taylor and he’s never been happier,” they said. “Taylor’s feelings are mutual and she is so happy and feels comfortable with Travis. She loves that she can be open with their relationship, live her life, and enjoy this special time together.”
