‘SNL’s Weekend Update Takes On ‘Suits’ Spinoff, Donald Trump & MAGA Conspiracies About Taylor Swift & The Super Bowl

Colin Jost and Michael Che took shots at the Suits spinoff and Donald Trump during the Saturday Night Live Weekend Update segment.

This week, it was announced that the Suits spinoff had received a pilot order from NBC and would be set in Los Angeles.

“It will focus on Meghan Markle’s character struggle to balance her legal career while also caring for an unemployed immigrant,” Jost joked with a picture of Prince Harry appearing on screen.

The segment started off with the latest news that Joe Biden won the South Carolina primary with Jost joking the president “barely” edged out “his closest rival — time.”

Jost would also take on the conspiracy theories coming out of the MAGA camp that claim the NFL is rigging the Super Bowl so the Kansas City Chiefs can go on the field to endorse Biden.

“Man, MAGA people have so many enemies to keep track of,” Jost said, adding, “You have to hate the NFL, Taylor Swift, Bud Light, Disney, Kristen Stewart for some reason, electric stoves, windmills, the concept of rainbows, and the green M&M.

“And you have to think that everyone in the government is a secret pedophile except for this guy dancing with Jeffrey Epstein,” Jost continued before showing a video of Trump next to Epstein. “Isn’t that the happiest you’ve ever seen Trump? He’s dancing like nobody is checking I.D.’s.”

Che took on the news that Biden made a change to the immigration policy, noting, “He would be willing to shut down the border if given the power by Congress — is the kind of unexpected shift and direction Biden usually only makes in the middle of a sentence.”
