Is The Traitors season 3 confirmed?
Yes! The BBC announced back in November 2023, ahead of series two’s release, that the show had already been renewed for a third instalment. Given that season 2 was one of the most talked-about reality shows of recent times, attracting an audience of 21 million, the BBC deffo made the right call.
“The massive unscripted hit The Traitors will be back for a third series,” said Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC. “Expect to see more psychological gameplay, exciting challenges and of course Claudia at the helm. It will be a thrilling ride for both avid fans and newcomers to the series for sure. The BBC will always remain faithful to The Traitors.”
Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert who produces the show for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, added: “We’re delighted a third series of The Traitors has been confirmed today ahead of the second series’ arrival on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The Traitors has been so warmly received by viewers, critics and award juries alike. Claudia and the team look forward to keeping audiences on the edge of their seats again with ever more thrilling missions and exceptional players competing in this gripping game of bluff and skill.”
How to apply for The Traitors season 3
Ready to get your The Traitors season 3 application off? If you fancy being one of the 22 contestants who move to the beautiful Ardross Castle in Scottish Highlands with a chance of winning up to £120,000, then you’re in luck.
You can apply via BBC Take Part as long as you’re 18 or older at the time of applying, and are available to take part in filming which could last for up to six weeks during spring/ summer 2024.
Applications close 11th February 2024.
Is there a The Traitors UK season 3 release date?
Considering applications are still open and filming is scheduled for later this year, we’ll have a while to wait until series 3 hits our screens. But based on the release schedule of season 2, it could air in early 2025.
