EXCLUSIVE: Actress, writer and producer Maya Erskine has signed with WME for representation.
Erskine stars opposite Donald Glover in Prime Video’s Mr. and Mrs. Smith, which premieres Feb. 2. Written and created by Glover and Francesca Sloane, the series, a complete reimagining of the 2005 film, is getting strong reviews.
Previously, Erskine co-created and co-starred in the Emmy-nominated series PEN15, which ran for two seasons on Hulu. During its first season, the series won the 2019 Gotham Award for Breakthrough Series and Erskine, along with co-creator and co-lead Anna Konkle, was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series. The duo also received WGA Award nominations for New Series and Comedy Series and a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Comedy Series. In its second season, PEN15 earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series and a Peabody Award nomination.
Erskine is currently developing the international bestselling novel The Perfect Nanny as a limited series for HBO, in which she is set to star alongside Nicole Kidman in addition to serving as creator and writer.
Recently, Erskine lent her voice to Netflix’s adult animated series Blue Eye Samurai. She continues to be repped by Emily Rose and Anne Hong at Mosaic, Melissa Fox at Hansen Jacobson and Narrative PR.
