A24 & UTA Strike Deal To Produce TV Via Civic Center Media

A24 has struck a deal with UTA to produce scripted and unscripted television via the latter’s Civic Center Media banner.

The deal will see Civic Center Media given resources for development and production via A24, which is behind series such as Netflix’s Beef and HBO’s Euphoria.

UTA launched Civic Center Media in 2018 and is behind series such as Amazon’s The Terminal List, starring Chris Pratt, which is in pre-production on its second season along with a prequel series starring Taylor Kitsch, as well as Hulu’s The Great and Apple’s The Shrink Next Door.

The series were produced with MRC.

The deal will see the UTA and Civic Center produce scripted television as well as unscripted and documentary series.

UTA stressed that Civic Center Media will work with talent from all agencies and UTA will continue to work with all studios, with A24 similarly continuing to work with all agencies.

“We are excited to partner with A24,” said UTA CEO Jeremy Zimmer. “Their brand stands for quality and originality, and we believe the Civic Center Media collaboration will provide a great experience for writers, actors, directors and IP holders.”
