The Family Of Michael Latt And The CAA Foundation Announce Legacy Fund Following Death Of Activist And Film Exec

Following his tragic passing last month, the family of Michael Latt and the CAA Foundation today announced the formation of the Michael Latt Legacy Fund.

Latt, who devoted his life to being of service, founded Lead With Love, which harnesses art and culture to foster social justice through national campaigns, impact initiatives and creative projects alongside influential artists, brands and organizations. Earlier this month, the family held a powerful memorial in the Pacific Palisades where family, friends and colleagues that included David and Franklin Latt, Michelle Satter, Ryan Coogler, Common, Isaac Bryan, Aja Monet, Sudsy Dyke, Glenn Kaino and Ava DuVernay. The service touched on the impact Latt had across the industry and city and the hope is this fund will continue that legacy going forward.

The Mission of the Michael Latt Legacy Fund is to continue Michael’s work, using art to foster love, hope and healing. The Fund will support artists from underrepresented communities, leverage storytelling for enduring impact, bring diverse communities together and build opportunities that focus on equity and positive change.

Latt once said, “The moment I realized that I could use my skill set for social good, I decided to dedicate the rest of my career to helping others, empowering storytellers of color, and fighting injustice wherever it stands.”
