‘Dancing With The Stars’ Whitney Houston Night Tangos To 5-Week Audience High On ABC & Disney+

EXCLUSIVE: Audiences flocked to Dancing with the Stars for Whitney Houston night.

The November 14 episode is one of the highest-rated and most-watched of Season 32, with 6.54M viewers after three days of multi-platform viewing. That’s a five-week high, up about 1.5M from the same-day audience that tuned in on ABC.

While the multi-platform number is inclusive of the Disney+ livestream, it’s not clear how many of those 1.5M people watched live versus in the three-day window.

Among adults 18-49, the episode has grown to a 0.98 rating, which is a solid increase from the 0.64 live + same-day rating it received, according to Nielsen. This is the show’s highest-rated multi-platform telecast since the Season 32 premiere.

Dancing with the Stars has been having a strong season since returning to ABC. Last week, Deadline broke the news that the Season 32 premiere has nearly doubled its audience after 35 days of viewing.

When the series premiered again on ABC this season, it tallied 6.5M viewers in its first three days. That’s about the same number of people who tuned in for the Season 30 premiere in 2021 (the last time the show aired on ABC). In the MP35 window, the Season 32 premiere is up 11% versus 2021, which saw 7.57M viewers in the same time frame. It’s also up 3% in the 18-49 demographic.

Dancing With The Stars airs live on ABC and Disney+ and next day on Hulu. This Tuesday’s episode is A Celebration of Taylor Swift.
