Kate Middleton’s Bardot Bangs Basically Scream ‘Autumn Hair’

It’s the eternal question: “Should I get a fringe?” A few months ago, Kate Middleton answered the siren call, cutting a set of long, Farrah Fawcett-esque curtain bangs that paired perfectly with her signature flawless waves. Now, it appears that the Princess of Wales has leaned even further into bang territory with a thicker, fuller fringe.

Middleton was photographed in Scotland on 2 November looking like the very definition of autumn beauty inspiration. Her brunette hair was blown out to effortlessly glamorous perfection, per usual, but the fringe definitely looked different; in October, they were giving off a ‘70s Farrah vibe, but now they’re looking way more Bardot than Charlie’s Angels.

Maybe this is because Middleton’s hair was parted slightly to the side, essentially brushing more hair over her forehead and down over one eye. It’s not a straight-across fringe, though — we’re still firmly in curtain territory. In other photos from the event in Scotland, she wears one side tucked behind her ear, proving that curtain bangs are the most versatile way to satisfy the “Should I get a fringe?” craving while still offering some styling flexibility. You can change your entire look simply by changing your part, and they even looked good when tucked under a bicycle helmet!

Given the outdoor locale, the Princess kept the rest of her look simple with her go-to dark eyeliner, pink blush and just a hint of lip colour — classic, easy, seasonless, AKA the Kate Middleton aesthetic in a nutshell. However, the green Burberry check barn jacket layered over a turtleneck really took the fall vibes to the next level and was the ultimate compliment to the sideswept fringe. I don’t know about you, but Middleton’s look is presenting a very convincing argument for cutting a fresh set of curtain bangs this weekend.
