Adam Sandler Pauses Stand-Up Show To Assist Audience Member Suffering Medical Emergency

Adam Sandler proved he had his eye firmly on his audience on Wednesday night, pausing his show mid-flow when he spotted one fan was suffering a medical emergency.

Sandler was performing at the SAP Center in San Jose, California, when he stopped his set and helped guide the medics to where the audience member was sitting.

In a video captured by a fan on the night, Sandler is heard telling the crowd:

“Let’s take a few seconds, we’ll just let these guys concentrate, alright? Love y’all.”

As the lights came on in the arena and medical staff reached the troubled fan, Sandler added:

“We’re all wishing you well there, youngster, feel better back there. Sorry about that.”

Not longer after, he continued his show, saying:

“I hope everybody’s good, everybody’s alright. We’ll get going, we’ll start the show back up, alright?”

He also asked the audience to give a round of applause to the fan who needed assistance, before finishing with “Alright, back to the f***in’ dumbness.”

Sandler has been travelling with his I Missed You Tour – which began in Vancouver last week and will continue until December when he finishes in Denver. He performed in Fresno on Friday evening, and will take to the stage in Palm Desert this evening (Saturday) before moving onto Anaheim on Monday.

Additionally, yesterday saw Netflix officially board his next project with Josh and Benny Safdie, a feature as yet untitled. Sandler is attached to star with the Safdies pair writing, directing and producing.
