Agoraphobic and reclusive, he rules over his reading public from an estate high above Mount Washington. Then along comes Ana Ride, a former combat marine until she lost a foot. Together, they follow a trail of murder and destruction connected to the 710 Corridor project, long fought against by the community activists and environmental groups, who oppose it.
