Pandora’s Diamond District Party Brings Out Pamela Anderson, Halle Bailey, Julia Fox, and More

Pandora put a luxury spin on a New York City block party last night when the jeweler took over a Lafayette Street parking lot downtown and transformed it into the Diamond District to celebrate the launch of its lab-grown diamonds.

Baby pink was the color of the night. Decór, including neon lights, plenty of campaign posters, and a concert stage where Caroline Polachek performed, were splashed with the statement hue. Even the food trucks parked outside served pink tacos and burgers.

Diamonds were of course on full display for guests, with two stations set up that offered an up-close look at Pandora’s new offerings. One even had a diamond magnifier available so attendees could take in every tiny, microscopic detail of the lab-grown gems.

But some of the best jewelry moments were on the pink carpet, where celebrities showed off their own unique ways of styling Pandora pieces.

Some went bold, including Ashley Park in a glitzy dress by The Blonds and bejeweled knee-high boots (“we’re going sparkles everywhere,” she told ELLE.com of her look), and Julia Fox in a crop top and skirt made entirely of watches. Others, including Halle Bailey and campaign star Pamela Anderson (who attended the event with her sons, Dylan and Brandon Lee), opted for more subdued, classic looks.

Anderson, outfitted in a cream blouse and pants, explained to ELLE.com that she purposely dressed “just simple, because I felt like the diamonds really are the special part of the outfit.” Generally, when styling diamonds, “I think you just have to wear something really neutral.”

When looking back at her own riskiest outfits, Anderson admitted that “people always ask me, ‘Who styled you back then?’ I said, ‘No stylist would ever let me out the door looking like that.’ I was just having a ball and having fun. I still am!”

Bailey, meanwhile, revealed her own “more is more” mentality with jewelry.

“I think just layering all of your small, beautiful dainty pieces really works,” Bailey told ELLE.com with a smile. She cited the layered diamond necklaces she wore with her Zimmermann blazer dress as her favorite part of her outfit, which was inspired by Janet Jackson.

Other celebrity guests included Precious Lee, Barbie Ferreira, Ariana Greenblatt, Hari Nef (Barbie co-stars Greenblatt and Nef had a very sweet reunion on the carpet, posing together). The stars weren’t above their own starstruck moments either, with Greenblatt in particular bowing her hands down to Fox after seeing her.

The night brought in a hoard of well-dressed influencers, editors, and more, with the party starting at 6:30 P.M. and going strong until 10 P.M. The lot was full, and the crowd was energized despite the sweltering 90-degree heat.

Sunset-hued cocktails and plenty of water offered hydration to the partygoers, and homemade Oreos and strawberry chocolate-dipped Maman croissants quelled any sugar cravings.
