Travis Scott, The Weeknd, and Bad Bunny are officially joining forces. The trio are releasing a new song together, Scott and The Weeknd revealed in a joint Instagram post shared on July 19. “Flame Abe Benito,” Scott and The Weeknd’s caption read. “Out Tomorrow Night.” The single will be called “KPOP,” per Scott’s website.
The news comes several weeks after Bad Bunny confirmed he and Scott had been working on music together. “We worked on that a while back — and I think Travis has been working on his project for a minute,” Bad Bunny told Rolling Stone on June 21, referencing a collaboration with Scott. “I don’t know if maybe I’ll release a song [this year] if I like it enough, but I don’t think so. I said this year was for resting.”
The news about the new song comes shortly after the finale of The Weeknd’s controversial Max show “The Idol,” which he conceptualized and starred in. Meanwhile, Bad Bunny made history earlier this summer when his 2022 album “Un Verano Sin Ti” became Spotify’s most streamed album of all time. Scott, for his part, is set to release his fourth studio album, “Utopia,” on July 28.
