Rodriguez first announced she was pregnant on her 38th birthday in July 2022. The actor shared the big news by posting a video on Instagram that featured various moments with her husband. The clip ended with the couple standing beside each other as Rodriguez held up a positive pregnancy test to the camera. “This birthday hits different ❤️,” she wrote.
Rodriguez then documented her pregnancy journey on Instagram by sharing photos of her baby bump. In December 2022, she teased her baby was almost due by writing, “Just a few more weeks little one,” alongside a photo of her husband kissing her belly. In January 2023, she revealed LoCicero had put together a stroller for her in preparation for their baby’s arrival.
Although it’s unclear exactly when she gave birth, Rodriguez wrote on Feb. 8, 2023 that she and her baby would be watching her ABC sitcom “Not Dead Yet” together. Weeks later, on March 8, 2023, Rodriguez also said she would be “breastfeeding” while watching her show’s latest episode.
On April 5, 2023, Rodriguez revealed on Instagram that her son is named Charlie and shared a picture of herself cozying up to her newborn.
On June 18, she shared photos of Charlie for the first time in honor of her husband’s first Father’s Day.
