Prince Louis wasn’t the only person stealing the show at King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday, May 6. It was equally hard for viewers to take their eyes off Katy Perry, especially when she couldn’t find her seat. The relatable moment was captured on film and quickly became a meme, but the “Firework” singer is taking her seat mix-up in stride.

“Don’t worry guys i found my seat,” Perry joked in a tweet after the event. In the video, the pop star can be seen trying to peek down aisles from beneath her huge hat before biting her lip. She eventually heads over to a group of people and seemingly asks if she’s sitting with them.

Perry’s “I don’t know where I’m sitting” moment has plenty of people saying “been there” on social media. However, it wasn’t the 38-year-old’s only mishap. In addition to struggling to find her seat, the singer also tripped outside of Westminster Abbey after the ceremony. Luckily, she managed to right herself before she fell, but Perry was no doubt relieved to kick off her heels after her historic day out.

The “Roar” singer won’t be able to rest for long, though. In addition to attending the coronation, Perry is also set to perform at Charles’s coronation concert at Windsor Castle on May 7. She joins a lineup that includes her fellow “American Idol” judge Lionel Richie and the British band Take That.

While Perry may seem like an unexpected choice to play a key role in the coronation, she has known Charles for some time now. The “American Idol” judge has known the king since she was appointed the ambassador of the British Asian Trust in 2020. Prior to her coronation appearance, Perry shared a statement about her performing via a BBC news press release.

“I am excited to be performing at the Coronation Concert, and helping to shine a further light on the British Asian Trust’s Children’s Protection Fund, whose work includes on-ground initiatives to fundraising, with the aim to find solutions to child trafficking,” she said.
