Gia Margaret has announced her new album, Romantic Piano. It’s out May 26 via her new label home Jagjaguwar. The lead single, “Hinoki Wood,” is out with a video featuring clay animation from Gaia Alari. Watch it below. Also below, find the LP’s “Cicadas.”
“Romantic Piano was written with a beginner’s mind,” Margaret said in a statement. “For this collection, I thought: ‘What if I could clear my head of all the things I have learned about the piano? What would those songs sound like?’” David Bazan appears on the album track “La langue de l’amitié.” Margaret’s last album was 2020’s Mia Gargaret.
