De La Soul, Little Simz, Thundercat, and Yasiin Bey also joined the band onstage

Gorillaz returned to the main stage at the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on Friday night, April 21 for a second weekend performance. Damon Albarn and the band performed in support of their recent album, Cracker Island, and celebrated a career-spanning set by bringing out a number of guests, including a face mask-wearing Bad Bunny for “Tormenta,” Beck on “The Valley of the Pagans,” Yasiin Bey for “Sweepstakes,” and Little Simz on “Garage Palace.” As with their Weekend 1 set, Gorillaz once again played “Feel Good Inc.” (with De La Soul), “Cracker Island” (with Thundercat), “Clint Eastwood” (with Del the Funky Homosapien), and “Dirty Harry” (with Bootie Brown). “I’m sorry, but Weekend 2 is better than Weekend 1,” said Albarn. See the band’s setlist, and watch a replay of their set, below.

Last year, during her first headlining set at Coachella, Billie Eilish brought out Albarn for a rendition of her Happier Than Ever track “Getting Older.” Albarn also did Gorillaz’s “Feel Good Inc.” with Eilish and De La Soul’s Posdnuos.
