Katie Holmes surprised us back in September with the sleek side-swept baby bangs she wore to the Tom Ford fashion show. It was a marked departure from any hairstyle we’ve seen on the star, and we’re not going to lie, we were really into the edgy baby fringe. Now it seems like an era of change in the hairstyling department for Holmes because she was spotted on the streets of New York City in early March with naturally wavy hair.
We don’t often get to see Katie Holmes’s tousled waves, so this felt like a treat, and, trust, we are admiring every inch of this textured look. The Dawson’s Creek actor was wearing a butter-yellow two-piece suit with a white mesh shirt and her waves flowing around her. The ends of her brunette hair cascaded well past her collarbones and were loosely swept over one shoulder — the textbook definition of a flawless bedhead. Though she doesn’t often let her curls out, we’re hoping this won’t be the last time we spot a wavy hairstyle on Holmes. The actor is seemingly experimenting with new hairstyles in recent months, and we’re excited for what’s to come. May we suggest a chin-grazing bob or curtain bangs for next time?
