Nothing says party season like Zara‘s best-selling sequins, amiright?!
This year, the high street retailer has come to our aid once again with a truly magical partywear collection no matter your Christmassy occasion – be it the office ‘do, festive drinks or even a trip to a Christmas market for mulled wine and yuletide joy, etc etc.
After all, this year’s Christmas run-up is kind of unprecedented, since the last two years saw endless get-togethers cancelled or marred by the dreaded rule of six – so if there was ever a time to go for it when it comes to party dressing, this is your moment.
It’s no surprise, then, that sequins are even more popular this season (if that’s even possible), and dopamine dressing – festive style – is officially the theme for December. Think sparkles, feathers, rhinestones, ruffles and more – because yes, we will be celebrating this Christmas, and we will look like a bauble while doing it.
So if the brief is festive fun but make it chic, Zara officially has it nailed. The collection – found under the ‘party’ section of the website, if you haven’t made it there yet – combines everything from dresses to separates to jumpsuits and accessories, with that signature trend-led Zara vibe so many of us love.
We have some favourites, naturally. For Zara, it seems bustier is the buzzword for this season, since the strapless styles are on offer in every iteration – this buttoned tuxedo-style number is a winner, for example, teamed with tailored matching trousers (and a pair of oversized rhinestone earrings, of course).
Speaking of, this bejewelled co-ord is chic but comfy (the holy grail combo), while this shimmering draped mini dress is giving 70s party girl in the best way. An honourable mention goes to Zara’s red velvet blazer, too – an homage to Gucci’s (and Gwyneth Paltrow’s) famous jacket, no doubt.
