Jennifer Lopez Posts Candid Photos From First Family Thanksgiving With Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck‘s first family Thanksgiving appears to have been a cozy one. On Saturday, Lopez shared a slideshow set to the tune of her 2002 song “The One” to her Instagram. She captioned the sweet collection of photos, “This Is … Thanksgiving Holiday 🤍🍁.”

The photos show off everything from the family’s impressive dessert selection to a random cow, but the best moment comes when a photo of Lopez’s 14-year-old son Max resting his head on his stepdad’s shoulder during a car ride pops up. The slideshow also includes a short video clip of Max’s twin sibling Emme curled up in their mom’s lap.

Additional photos and videos show off Lopez’s impressive collection of knitwear and winter coats, moments spent with her extended family, and one of the kids snapping a photo with their camera. The overall vibe is one of warmth and coziness, which is perfect for Affleck and Lopez’s first major holiday spent together as a married couple.

In addition to Max and Emme, who Lopez shares with Marc Anthony, Affleck also coparents Samuel (10), Seraphina (13), and Violet (16) with his ex Jennifer Garner. The blended family previously went on a trip to Paris shortly after the happy couple tied the knot in July.

Earlier this month, Lopez opened up about raising a blended family in an interview with Vogue. “[The kids] have so many feelings,” she said. “They’re teens. But it’s going really well so far. What I hope to cultivate with our family is that [Affleck’s] kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up.”

From the look of the family’s first Thanksgiving, it seems like things are going smoothly so far. In fact, Lopez recently announced her ninth studio album “This Is Me…Now,” which pays tribute to just how far she’s come in the past 20 years. The track list even includes an ode to Affleck entitled, “Dear Ben Pt. 2.” The album is set to be released in 2023.
