Feather Brows Are All Over TikTok: Here’s How To Do It

While Nicola Peltz might be following in Bella Hadid’s footsteps, convincing us to bring back the ‘90s thin brow after flaunting a perfectly plucked pair at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles last month, things are a different story on TikTok.

Light, full and fluffy eyebrows seem to still be reigning supreme and right now, the eyebrow buzz word you need to know is ‘Feather Brows.’

Taking inspiration from, well you guessed it, feathers, these are very natural-looking brows (not to be confused with micro-feathering, a semi-permanent tattooing technique). The main point of this eyebrow trend is you use a spoolie (the name of that little brush you get on the end of a brow pencil) to flick eyebrows up to give a full, airy look. In some instances, feather brows might see hairs pointing in all directions but more subtle versions feature wispy feather brow hairs that just reach up over your natural brow arch.

TikToker @sincerelygenesis shared her method in a video tutorial ‘How to do feather brows.’

In the video she says: “Two things you need. Eyebrow gel or some type of gel & a spoolie.”

She adds: “Start applying the gel with the spoolie, wait 30 seconds to a minute until they are in tack to be able to brush them up.

“Start brushing them upwards until your desire liking. Conceal them for a cleaner look.”

Another TikToker @_marybankz shared her feather brow hack writing: “Brows are my favorite. Watch how I got this feather brow look using my 3 favorite brow products.”

The video sees her using a Morphe eyebrow pencil under her eyebrows to create a perfect arch line. She then brushes eyebrows upwards with a spoolie. Using a NYX Professional Makeup Lift And Snatch Brow Pencil, she draws soft vertical lines filling in any gaps in her eyebrows. Lastly, using a slanted brush she applies MAC Pro Concealer under her eyebrows.

The great thing about feather brows is they seem pretty easy to copy, particularly for anyone who isn’t very confident with products. Also, the trend doesn’t specifically require new products, you could easily work it using whatever you have in your makeup bag – just as long as you have a spoolie to hand.
