Nicola Peltz Sets Record Straight On Feud With Victoria Beckham

Nicola Peltz Beckham has once again been forced to shut down speculation on her supposed rivalry with mother-in-law Victoria Beckham, claiming, “no family is perfect”.

Speaking to The Sunday Times over the weekend, the Bates Motel actress insisted: “It’s not a feud. I keep seeing everywhere that word, ‘feud, feud, feud.”

“I don’t know why they say ‘feud’? I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labelling it ‘feud’?” The 27-year-old continued to add, “No family is perfect. I don’t pay attention to all of it. If I did, I would go crazy”.

The women have been subject to relentless media coverage assuming a rift for months, which Nicola noticed had intensified since she tied the knot with the Spice Girl‘s son Brooklyn earlier this year in April.

The rumours first heightened when fans were quick to spot she opted for a Valentino gown rather than a design courtesy of her singer-turned-fashion designer mother-in-law.

“I was going to, and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” she told Variety in an interview earlier this year about not going for a VB gown

“She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.” Thus, the birth of the supposed rivalry.

Even Brooklyn had his say on the matter, adding in the same interview: I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”

The Peltz vs Beckham storyline proves that, unfortunately, there’s nothing more that the internet loves than pitting two hugely successful women against each other. As Nicola Peltz said, no family exists without some disagreement, but why must it be labelled a feud?
