Reese Witherspoon and ex Ryan Phillippe celebrated their son Deacon’s 19th birthday

It’s a Cruel Intentions reunion… kind of. Exes and Cruel Intentions stars Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe both celebrated their son’s 19th birthday on social media over the weekend.

On Sunday, October 23, Witherspoon shared a recent picture of Deacon, her second child with Phillippe, as well as a photo of him serving a serious look as kid.

“Big Birthday Love for @deaconphillippe today!” Witherspoon wrote in the caption. “The guy who possesses the most joyful energy, endless drive, ambition and talent. And the biggest heart in the world. Could not be more PROUD of you… I love you, D!”

Several celebs commented on the post, including Julianne Moore, Mindy Kaling, Julianna Margulies, Kate Hudson and Gwyneth Paltrow.

It was heart emojis aplenty as Mindy wrote: “Happy Birthday Deacon!” and Gwyneth adorably commented: “What a babe.” Others commented on Deacon’s uncanny similarities to his mum Reese, with one adding: “He really inherited a lot from your beautiful face, you can’t ignore it,” and another said: “Happy Birthday Deacon ! Blessings (He looks more like you than his dad).”

Phillippe shared his tribute to Deacon to his Instagram Stories, with a black-and-white photo of himself and his son with the caption, “miss ya so much, homie.” I guess dads call sons homie now? See a screenshot of Phillippe’s Story below:

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe have two children together (who happen to look a lot like them). Their first, Ava, was born in 1999 and is currently 23 years old. Witherspoon and Phillippe met at a party in 1997 and married in June 1999, when they were 23 and 25, respectively. They separated in 2006, and Witherspoon filed for divorce the same year, citing irreconcilable differences.
