Post Malone is currently on tour in support of his latest album Twelve Carat Toothache, and at his show on Saturday, September 17 in St. Louis, the vocalist stumbled over an opening on stage and injured himself, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and TMZ report.

Midway through his song “Circles,” the R&B singer tripped and partially fell into an on-stage opening that had been used to move his guitar, but hadn’t been fully closed. Medics rushed to the stage and brought the musician into their care, and after a 15-minute period, he returned to the stage and apologized to fans for the incident.

“St. Louis, I’m so fucking sorry I ruined the show tonight, ladies and gentleman,” he said. “I promise next time I come around, I won’t fucking wreck y’alls night, I’m sorry for that. That being said, I want to thank you for your patience and I’m sorry. There was a big-ass hole in the middle of the stage that I just busted my ass on.”

After the incident, Post went on to perform his songs “Rockstar” and “Cooped Up.” He’s still scheduled to perform in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, September 18, with additional dates on his Twelve Carat Tour slated for later this year.

On Sunday (September 18), Post Malone took to social media to update fans on his condition. In a short video, he thanked fans for their patience, and said that he’s feeling better after the fall.

“We just got back from the hospital, everything’s good—they gave me some pain meds and everything so we can keep kicking ass on the tour,” he said. “I just want to apologize to everyone in St. Louis, and I want to say thank you guys so much for coming to the show. And next time I’m around this way, we’re gonna do a two-hour show for you to make up for the couple missed songs that we missed.”
