Here are the best beauty looks straight from the Emmy Awards 2022 red carpet

The Emmy Awards 2022 have arrived, and we’re gagging for one thing and one thing only: the beauty looks. If you’re anything like us, before you look at the big beautiful gowns (in our best Aretha Franklin voice — if you know, you know), your attention goes straight to the face.

Granted, Emmys are not known for historically giving us the most outlandish, trail-blazing, unorthodox looks, in contrast to other red carpet moments like the Met Gala and the Oscars. However, one thing you’re guaranteed in this (golden, mustard-yellow) carpet is old-school Hollywood glamour at its finest.

We’re talking Hollywood waves matching the velour gowns, without a hair out of place, soft glam, and full beat matching with eyeshadow matching the gowns. This year is no different; we’re seeing a gang of full fringes, that controversial millennial side-parting, and doughnut-skin galore. We’re talking that barely there soft-glam glow from the likes of HoYeon Jung and Quinta Brunson.

The gentle peachy blush we see sported by Rosario Dawson and Amanda Seyfried is natural-glam taken to major new heights. And can we talk about Zendaya’s half-up half-down hair? Urgh, can the president of Gen-Z(endaya) let us breath, please…

When it comes to hair, bob haircuts had a major takeover, with the likes of Issa Rae and Alexandra Daddario opting for that slick blunt cut. Sydney Sweeney opted for that constructed cool girl wave, while Nicole Byer and Laverne Cox reminded us that when it comes to hair, more is more. The girls really came for our necks.

Here are the best beauty looks for the Emmy Awards 2022 that had us mesmerised…
