Fans are convinced Harry Styles *spat* in Chris Pine’s lap in this viral video at the Don’t Worry Darling premiere (but sources say it’s totally untrue)

Just when we thought we’d finally got to grips with all the Don’t Worry Darling drama, the premiere took place and served us even more, courtesy of Harry Styles. Are you sitting comfortably?

Fans are now convinced that Harry Styles spat in Chris Pine’s lap as he took a seat next to him at the Venice Film Festival for the film’s premiere – but sources are saying it is totally untrue.

The 28-year-old old seemingly empties his mouth in his co-star’s lap in front of his girlfriend, Olivia Wilde, in the bizarre series of events.

Hundreds of fans have commented on the Twitter video claiming Harry did indeed spit in Chris’s lap, whilst others maintain that it was an optical illusion and Chris was just fiddling with his sunglasses on his legs.

Fans have taken the conversation even further by pointing out that Harry became known as ‘the whale’ at his One Direction concerts for taking a gulp of water and then spitting it out at the crowd – a move he performed (and was criticised for) at his Las Vegas show in 2021 following the Covid-19 pandemic

One fan wrote on Twitter: “I love you dearly. But it’s Covid. Please stop taking a drink from water bottles then throwing it on people and doing the whale. That’s…an incredible amount of germs. I know most of us would let you spit in our mouths but just maybe retire it for this tour? No hate.”

The film has been a hotbed of drama with rumours that co-star Florence Pugh was apparently unhappy with the environment on set, Shia LaBeouf reinserting himself into the narrative, and Jason Sudeikis dropping in to serve custody papers in a very public manner.

At the centre of it all is Olivia Wilde, just trying to sell some movie tickets. If you have a good twenty minutes on your hands this morning, we highly recommend perusing our lengthy timeline of all the drama.
