The Kardashians season 1 may seem to have just ended, but Hulu is already promoting season 2. On July 11, Hulu revealed the first trailer for the reality show’s second season, which will feature a lot of drama we…already know about. Kylie Jenner welcomed her second baby! Kourtney Kardashian is planning a wedding! Kim Kardashian has a Pete Davidson!
“I have a new boyfriend,” Kim says in the trailer during a confessional. “I’m just having a really good time.”
The one truly new aspect of the trailer was Pete himself, who did not make an appearance in season one but has made many on the reality star’s Instagram feed. In fact, his introduction to the Kardashian-verse was kind of the perfect representation of Kim and Pete’s whole horny vibe.
Wearing her Met Gala after-party look—another dress previously worn by Marilyn Monroe—Kim approaches Pete in the hallway as he’s talking to Khloé Kardashian and asks, “Babe, do you wanna shower with me really quick?” The SNL comedian proceeds to fling everything in his hands across the room, including his phone, and follow his girlfriend into the bathroom. Though Pete Davidson did not physically appear in the first season of The Kardashians, his presence was definitely felt. While his girlfriend skirted around the topic of their relationship for most of the season, she finally discussed their ship during an episode that aired on June 2. According to the SKKN founder, she made the first move after hosting Saturday Night Live because she was “basically DTF.”
“I did SNL, and then when we kissed in a scene, it was just a vibe,” she said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, shit. Maybe I just need to try something different!’” Unfortunately, Pete didn’t show up to her after-party. “Everyone was at my after-party—[Pete] does not give me the time of day.”
She continued, “So a few days later, I called the producer at SNL and was like, ‘Hey, do you have Pete’s number?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah.’ I was just thinking, Heard about this BDE, need to get out there.”
“I definitely notice that Kim is happier,” Kourtney said during the episode. “I think that she’s so much nicer now, so thank you, Pete! I’m so into this new Kim.”
