As previously reported, Amy Slaton is a mother for the second time.
The 1,000-Lb Sisters star gave birth last week to a boy named Glenn Allen Halterman.
Now, meanwhile, a few days after this blessed development, we can confirm:
The baby is absolutely PERFECT.
“The wait is finally over…Michael and I are happy to announce the birth of our son, Glenn Allen Halterman,” Amy told People Magazine.
“The delivery was a huge success and now I have both of my miracle boys; our family is complete!”
At birth, young Glenn measured in at 17.5 inches long and weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces.
He joins brother Gage in an immediate family largely made possible because Amy shed enough pounds years ago to qualify for gastric bypass surgery.
A couple days after becoming a mother for the second time, Amyy uploaded a number of photo to Instagram.
Some feature just her and the brand new child.
Others give us a look at Glenn with his dad.
And perhaps the most memorable snapshot depicts Gage smiling… while his brother wiggles around on his lap, as you can see here:
Throughout her pregnancy journey, Amy kept followers apprised of both her status and the status of her second son, often posting photos of food items (such as a pineapple) to serve as a comparison for the size of her fetus.
But now Glenn is officially here!
And it sounds like fans may get a chance to meet him on 1,000-Lb Sisters Season 4.
Previously, Amy had told The Sun that she wasn’t sure she’d return to the franchise.
“I’ve been on the show for three years,” Slaton said a few months ago, referencing Gage, who was born in November 2020, and adding:
“At first, it was easy but now that I have Gage it’s like, he doesn’t want me out of his sight.
“I feel like I’m being a bad mom when I’m at work. He’s always at granny’s when we’re filming and stuff. I feel like I’m losing valuable time.”
Understandable, right?
Added Slaton at the time:
“I don’t really want to do another season because I’m pregnant, it’s just a lot. If they cut down my hours I’ll be probably fine.
“Last season I was working every day for weeks, plus renovating a house, plus Gage, plus Tammy, plus my mom. It was just a lot last year and I can’t do it.”
Here’s the thing, though:
In the aforementioned People article announcing Glenn’s arrival, the publication also wrote:
Fans of 1000-Lb. Sisters will get an inside look at Amy’s pregnancy and motherhood journey as it’s documented on the upcoming fourth season of the TLC show.
That appears too be confirmation of Season 4!
