Lindsay Lohan got married in secret: ‘Stunned that this is my husband’

It seems that Lindsay Lohan is officially a married woman.

Lohan announced her engagement to financier Bader Shammas, whom she’s been dating since 2019, with a series of smiley photos displaying her engagement ring in November 2021. “My love. My life. My family. My future,” she wrote in the caption at the time.

Well, it seems Shammas’ title has switched from fiancé to “husband” without the public knowing. In an Instagram post shared on July 1, Lohan referred to Shammas as her husband and described herself as the “luckiest woman in the world.”

“🎂❤️🥰 I am the luckiest woman in the world,” she wrote. “Not because I need a man, but because he found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace, all at the same time. I am stunned that this is my husband. My life and my everything. ❤️ Every woman should feel like this everyday 💖🙏.”

On July 2, a rep for Lindsay Lohan confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly, though it’s unclear when the Parent Trap star got hitched.

While the couple seemingly married in secret, there’s a chance their first ceremony is not going to be their last. “The talk is [there’ll] be two weddings—one overseas and one in the States, maybe someplace between Dubai and the U.S. There’s no timeframe yet,” a source told Us Weekly back in 2021. At the time, the insider warned that Lohan’s fans likely wouldn’t see the wedding coming. “It’s going to be intimate. You don’t see her out and about anymore. Lindsay really likes her privacy.”

After taking a break from acting for a number of years, Lohan is taking steps towards a return, starring in a handful of projects including an upcoming Christmas movie with Glee alum Chord Overstreet. “This first movie was perfect for me, because I really want to do something happy and fun and family-oriented,” she said of Falling for Christmas in February 2022. “I like doing that. I miss seeing romantic comedies, and less of the horror [genre]. I want to keep it happy.”
