In other news, French President Emmanuel Macron has been projected to win reelection in France today, beating out far-right political rival Marine Le Pen. It was a decisive victory, but still had many nervous because this has been the closest the far-right has come to a political victory in France. Le Pen is noted for her extremely xenophobic campaign, as well as for her ties to Russia. – USAToday
Meanwhile, the Evangelical Christians are it again. This time with a truly bonkers service that includes Marvel characters singing 90s jams and Iron Man being nailed to a cross. Yes, really.
- Republican Senator Orrin Hatch passed away, and the New York Times referred to his campaigns against the labor movement, Equal Rights Amendment, and anti-choice activism as “gentlemanly.” Twitter was not amused. – Twitter
