Doja Cat called on this £8 hero skincare product to give her skin a Grammys-worthy glow

It was a big night for Doja Cat at this year’s Grammys. The singer won her first ever Grammy award for best pop duo/group performance for her song “Kiss Me More” featuring SZA. And despite hobbling on crutches after falling out of bed (yes, really), SZA made her way up to the stage faster than Doja, who sprinted in at the last second after a riskily-timed bathroom break. “Listen. I have never taken such a fast piss in my whole life. Thank you everybody,” she told the audience before breaking into tears. “I like to down-play a lot of shit, but this is, er, it’s a big deal,” she said through sobs.

But aside from Doja’s emotional acceptance speech, it wasn’t just her music we were fan-girling over. Both beauty looks that Doja Cat served up – first on the red carpet, and then for the ceremony – were award-worthy. And after some Insta-scrolling through her makeup artist, Ernesto Casillas‘ page, we found out that he used a very well-known and affordable skincare regime to prep Doja’s complexion for a glow as bright as that gold Grammy gong.

Ernesto uploaded a behind-the-scenes pic to his Instagram Stories writing: “Starting the 2022 Grammys x Doja glam with some skin prep @deciem @theordinary.” He exfoliated the star’s skin using The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (£8), before applying the brand’s balancing Niacinamide and Zinc treatment (£5.50) to regulate oil and the hyaluronic acid serum (£6.40) to keep her skin beautifully hydrated throughout the evening.
