Welp, after stirring up the biggest “Love Is Blind” controversy we’ve ever seen, it seems Shake Chatterjee still managed to find his happy ending. On March 17, the season two cast member teased that he’s found a new love connection following his breakup with fellow contestant Deepti Vempati. He shared the news of his relationship in an Instagram post on March 17, showing off photos of his girlfriend, Emily. “Good things come to those who wait don’t settle,” he slyly captioned his slideshow.
Chatterjee made quite the name for himself on “Love Is Blind” on account of his many controversial remarks about his ex-fiancée. He proposed to Vempati on the show, but she ultimately chose to break off their engagement because of his hurtful comments toward her. “There’s a lot of things that he said that he didn’t say to my face and [things] I’ve heard from other cast members,” she told Us Weekly about ending their relationship. “I just don’t have room for anybody in my life that doesn’t see me in the best way. And who could even think those types of thoughts.”
Chatterjee isn’t the only cast member who’s moved on since the show ended. Vempati and castmate Kyle Abrams sparked dating rumors after the reunion episode aired, when the latter confessed that he should’ve proposed to her instead of his ex, Shaina Hurley — who recently announced that she’s getting married. Both Vempati and Abrams told Entertainment Tonight that they’re exploring the possibility of a romantic relationship, so it looks like we’ll just have to wait and see if the two end up getting together after all.
