We can expect Kim Kardashian to get seriously real about her divorce from Kanye ‘Ye’ West in The Kardashians, judging from the official, full-length trailer that dropped earlier today (14 March 2022).
The new reality series will follow the Kardashian family as they navigate their post-Keeping Up With The Kardashians lives. And – let’s face it – a lot has changed since season 20 of the groundbreaking show.
For one: Kim Kardashian is now dating Pete Davidson, which she confirmed by posting a picture of the pair on her Insta grid earlier this month (March 2022). However, her divorce from Kanye West has gone far from smoothly, with many pointing out that Kanye’s actions towards her and Pete have crossed the line towards being abusive.
The trailer for The Kardashians shows Kim saying, “It is really hard with Kanye. He told me my career is over.” It then cut to Khloé Kardashian saying, “Why are we always making excuses for the people that traumatise us?”
In January 2022, Tristan Thompson (Khloé’s on/off partner and the father of their child, True) admitted that he’d fathered another child with Maralee Nichols. He publicly apologised to Khloé on Instagram, saying, “Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you.”
The trailer then shows Kim on the phone saying, “We have all the time and all the resources to burn them to the f*cking ground,” but it’s unclear who she’s talking about.

In a Variety interview with her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, and her mum Kris, Kim discussed her relationship with Kanye saying, “I don’t think I would ever criticise the father of my children on my TV show. That’s just not really what I’m about, and I just don’t think that would ever make me feel good. I’m always really respectful of what the kids will see.”
She added that Pete Davidson is unlikely to appear on The Kardashians, explaining, “I have not filmed with him. And I’m not opposed to it. It’s just not what he does. But if there was an event happening and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to get away.”
The Kardashians will be premiering on Disney+ on 14 April 2022.
