Billie Eilish Responds to Kanye West Asking Her to Apologize to Travis Scott

Billie Eilish has responded to Kanye West’s request that she apologize to Travis Scott, saying that she never mentioned Scott while pausing her show to help a fan having trouble breathing. Footage of Eilish over the weekend shows her stopping the show and saying “I wait for people to be okay before I keep going,” which some people interpreted as as a reference to the Astroworld Festival tragedy.

In an Instagram post (that as of this morning is still up), West indicated that he wouldn’t perform at Coachella until Eilish had apologized to Scott for allegedly dissing him at her concert.

“COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES,” West wrote. “NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM.”

Shortly after this post, Eilish hit the comments and responded “Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan.”

At this point, West doesn’t appear to have responded to Eilish’s comment, but both of them are slated to headline Coachella in just a few months (April, to be exact).
