Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset has entered her goth era…well, kinda. (After everything she put up with in season four of the Netflix reality series, I can’t blame her.) At the People’s Choice Awards on Tuesday, December 7, Stause debuted her new look. She’s traded her sun-kissed honey blonde hair for something a little darker. Literally.
Stause looks almost unrecognizable with this new dark chocolate brown hair. Seriously, when I first saw a picture online, I was like, haha, that’s not Chrishell, so embarrassing for whoever posted that. But the joke was on me. Because it’s Chrishell!
Stause paired her new dark locks with a sultry red gown that is a departure from her typical romantic fashion. The fitted bright red gown features a high slit and a low-cut neckline with a V detail down the middle. Oh, and it also has cutouts. She accessorized the dress with drop earrings, bracelet, ring, and a pair of extremely strappy red-heel sandals with a pointed sole at the toe.
Per Us Weekly, Stause’s hair transformation went down just hours before the PCAs. Gasp! “We decided to change it up and go for something a little sultry and sexy and darker but still soft,” Bradley Leake, Stause’s hair stylist, told Us.
Chrishell Stause has now joined a handful of celebs who went through major hair transformations in 2021. Earlier this year, Billie Eilish ditched her signature neon green roots and black hair for bombshell blonde. And then, just last week, Eilish debuted delicious chocolate brown hair. In an Instagram Story on December 2, Eilish posted a close-up of dark brown bangs hanging over her eyes with the caption “Guess what?” Shortly after, she revealed the new look: Her hair is now a deep brunette.
