Zendaya and Tom Holland Get Adorable Talking About Their Height Difference

Couple Tom Holland and Zendaya made an appearance on the Graham Norton Show on December 3, while promoting Spider-Man: No Way Home. If you’ve seen them in photos together, you may have noticed there’s a bit of a height difference. Holland is about two inches shorter than his girlfriend and Zendaya is often styled in heels on the red carpet, making it seem more dramatic.

During the interview, Zendaya shared that the height difference has only been an issue for them when it comes to a specific stunt on set. They’re supposed to land together on a bridge, with her character MJ in Spider-Man’s arms before he places her down. But because she’s taller, her feet were hitting the ground first.

“I would land before him,” she explained to Norton.

Holland started to laugh at that, so she encouraged him to finish the story. He picked it up, saying, “So Zendaya would land. And I’m the superhero, I’m supposed to look cool. And I would land and my feet would swing from underneath me and then she would catch me.”

Then they gave a little demo, before Zendaya praised Holland, saying, “You were actually very lovely about it. You would be like ‘Oh my gosh, thank you.’”

She then shared another story about what goes on behind-the-scenes when they’re trying to bring Holland’s super hero persona to life. Zendaya apparently has a lot of concern about how Holland’s Spider-Man suit is designed.

“It’s one piece and there’s a helmet that goes underneath it,” she said. “I always have this fear that if he’s like working really hard or something’s happening that if he had to throw up per say, How? How is he going to get it out? This is a genuine concern. So honestly, sometimes when I look at it him, I get a little scared it just stresses me out.”

Holland joked that he pretends to be throwing up, and sets his girlfriend off.

“She’ll be like ‘No, help him!’” he claimed.

“It’s true,” Zendaya confirmed. “Because how is he going to get it out?”

That seems like a stunt coordinator’s job, but it’s great that he has such a supportive scene and life partner there, just in case.
