Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock just posted an empowering breastfeeding picture and fans are in love

Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock has received lots of love from fans after posting a picture of her breastfeeding one of her newborn babies.

Leigh-Anne’s post came after the premiere of Boxing Day, her upcoming Christmas romcom which is supposed to have Love Actually vibes. What more could we want this festive season?

While the rest of her pics consist of her with her bandmates on the red carpet and schmoozing the cameras in fabulous attire, she added the breastfeeding pic to the collection, too.

Fans have called her an “inspiration” and “superwoman” for posting such an authentic picture reflecting motherhood, alongside all the glam of course.

“What an overwhelmingly incredible night…” she captioned her Instagram post about the premiere. “Watching back my acting debut and seeing little old me as a leading lady in a whole MOVIE!” She shouted out to Warner Bros and Boxing Day‘s director and co-star Aml Ameen.

In a recent interview with ITV, alongside her Little Mix bandmate and fellow mum Perrie Edwards Leigh-Anne spoke frankly about the truths of motherhood. “I don’t know how I’m functioning. I don’t know how I do it,” she said, opening up about the importance of family helping her out.

“Both of my sisters have honestly been incredible. I’ve got so much help around me,” she added, elaborating on what it’s like to not be able to control so many elements of your day when looking after children.

“You can’t plan anything,” she said. “Even when you want to feed them at a certain time, it never goes to plan.”

Perrie told Leigh-Anne she didn’t know how she did it, having had twins and double the work.

“I don’t even know myself,” she replied. “Last night was horrific. I’ve tried to feed them at the same time, one right after the other. That’s normally quite a good routine, but it wasn’t last night. Oh, it was horrible!”

With so much expectation around motherhood – and lack of conversation around the realities of it, at times – we feel refreshed at Leigh-Anne’s honesty.

Boxing Day is out on 3 December.
