And Just Like That: When is the Sex And The City reboot out, and who are all the new characters?

In February Chris Noth kept us guessing when he responded to a fan on Instagram and said: “Everything changes – including announcements in the rags.”

However, the Daily Mail confused things even further in May when they announced that we’re set to see Mr. Big, Aiden and Steve returning for the Sex and the City reboot!

“Viewers will definitely see Big, Aiden and Steve,” a senior production source told the newspaper.

But now it’s been officially confirmed by the shows Executive Producer – and we can’t contain our excitement!

“I’m thrilled to be working with Chris again on ‘And Just Like That…’ How could we ever do a new chapter of the ‘Sex And The City’ story without our Mr. Big?” Michael Patrick King said.

We totally agree with him – now that Carrie has finally settled for Mr Big a new series would feel weird without him!

And now, three more original cast members have been confirmed to rejoin for the reboot

The legendary Willie Garson is returning as Carrie’s other BFF pal Stanford Blatch, along with his on-screen husband Anthony Marantino (Mario Cantone).

We also know that Charlotte’s husband Harry (Evan Handler) will be back on our screens for the reboot too.

In a statement about the news, the show’s executive producer Michael Patrick King said: “Everyone at And Just Like That… is thrilled to be able to continue the storylines of these beloved Sex and the City characters with the actors who made them so lovable.”

What is the plot for the reboot?

According to IMDb, the show will follow the three friends “as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content at HBO Max, said: “I grew up with these characters, and I can’t wait to see how their story has evolved in this new chapter, with the honesty, poignancy, humour and the beloved city that has always defined them.”

Is there a trailer?

There’s no official trailer yet but the cast have all shared this cryptic teaser…
