Whether you’re looking for a discount on a designer handbag or you’re after a big ticket item like a winter coat – but can’t justify forking out more than you need to – Black Friday is the perfect time to take the plunge and purchase that luxury item you’ve spent the past few months lusting after. And this year, many of our favourite designer brands and shopping sites have got some great offers on, some of which have started already.

What is Black Friday?
Traditionally celebrated in America, Black Friday is the name given to the day following Thanksgiving in which many retailers offer big discounts and better sale prices compared to other offers throughout the year. We’ve recently adopted Black Friday this side of the pond too, and this year, more brands getting involved and offering their best Black Friday UK offers yet on everything from clothing and jewellery to beauty, tech, homeware and sex toys.
When is Black Friday?
This year, Black Friday is on the 26th November with Cyber Monday – another big discount day – falling on the 29th. You don’t have to wait til Friday though, as some sites have started Black Friday offers already.
What designers do Black Friday?
You don’t have to look hard to snag a designer bargain, sites like Liberty London and Luisaviaroma have currently got Black Friday promotions on so you can get brands including The Vampire’s Wife, Victoria Beckham, and Rixo at up to 40% off. And this year, Net-A-Porter are offering 30% off plus 15% off beauty with the code BLACKFRIDAY.
Does Gucci offer discounts?
Like many designers, Gucci doesn’t offer a Black Friday sale on it’s own website. Your best bet at finding a Black Friday designer deal is to look on luxury fashion sites like Net-A-Porter, Harvey Nichols, Nordstrom and Coggles that have all previously offered Black Friday clothing deals and are expected to do so again this year. These sites all stock the label, so you should hopefully be able to luck out on some discounted Gucci goodness.
Does Dior have a Black Friday sale?
Unfortunately, if it’s Dior you’re after, you’re out of luck. Exclusively stocked on the brand’s own website, they don’t participate in Black Friday. We’d recommend looking on resale sites like Vestiaire and The Handbag Clinic for vintage and second-hand bags that might be more affordable, or keep saving up your hard-earned pennies until you can afford the saddle bag of your dreams!
Net-A-Porter Black Friday deals
The Net-A-Porter Black Friday sale is always a popular one. While their usual sales only apply to past-season collections, Net’s Black Friday discounts include current items too – meaning a generous saving is effortless to secure. This year, they’re offering 30% off and 15% off beauty with the code BLACKFRIDAY.
Even though you won’t have to physically queue up and battle hordes of crowds to get the best deals, it’s worth getting organised for the Net sale. And a digital queue can be almost more disheartening, there’s nothing worse than thinking you have something in your bag only to get to the checkout and realise your wifi has let you down. Offering up to 70% off luxury fashion year round, The Outnet Black Friday event is a big deal. Potentially the biggest deal, as the site is offering a further 25% off on designer items already discounted by up to 70% with the code BLACKFRIDAY. As long as it’s not current season you’re looking for, be prepared to shop brands including Balenciaga, The Row, Alexander McQueen and more in what can only be described as a mega sale. While The Outnet Black Friday sale does exclude bestsellers, just in products and menswear, if you’re on a budget but wanting to treat yourself to a little designer something, this is the sale for you.
