It may be best known for great dresses and epic boots, but did you know that Zara‘s coats are some of the chicest on the high street? If you didn’t then now’s the time to get to know, as the stalwart has truly upped its outerwear game for autumn 2021.
We’re not sure about you but over the last few years, we’ve really been prioritising and investing in our coat repertoire.
Perhaps once upon a time a simple black coat would do, but during winter – or, at least, during British winters – they’re kind of on repeat, meaning the same look every day. Therefore, finding a few versatile coats that can be switched up is the dream scenario.
And this where high street hero Zara comes in. Every year its coat collection seems to up the ante on its previous offering, with seriously chic styles that can be worn with just about anything season after season. And we reckon the latest AW21 Zara coat drop may just be its best yet…
If you’ve ever dreamt of owning a super chic, classic Max Mara camel, you’ll be pleased to know the Zara website is teeming with similar styles. In fact, they literally have hundreds of coats to shop right now – many of which are a wool-blend, meaning that the fabric feels cosy and of a superior quality, but the blend (with polyester) keeps the price point lower.
This season’s overall coat collection aesthetic is quite muted, but if you’re looking for bold shades there are a few seriously epic, punchier pieces dotted through the edit.
What this collection is bursting with, however, are plenty of soft browns, rich greys and creamy cashmere shades that would work effortlessly over just about any knitwear you’re into this season. This palette is also very transferable so it won’t look outdated in two or three years time.
Among our favourites, we’re loving the oversized, double-breasted coat in both the charcoal grey and the beige, the classic cream collared coat and the faux shearling, teddy coat.
In fact, we’ve rounded up our edit of the very best AW21 Zara coats you can buy right now to save you trawling through the website… You’re welcome.
