We tried these In Your Dreams stickers that can transform your Halloween look in seconds and this is how it went…

As a result, I’m not confident that they would last me a whole night of spooky festivities. For a selfie, though, they looked great. If you’re looking for an easy way to make it look like you’ve made more effort for Halloween, this is definitely the route to go down, just make sure you pack some face-safe adhesive in your bag if you’re heading out to the cluuuub (or trick-or-treating).

I am the type of person that leaves everything last minute when it comes to going out-out. I’m always scrambling together for an outfit or a fancy dress look with less than a day to prepare. So this product was a perfect solution to quickly transform my overall look without having to shop for a whole outfit. The application was so simple, and it took less than a couple of minutes to transfer onto my face.

I did notice that it did slip around and stick up in places throughout the evening, especially around my eyes, but for the price and ease of use, it wasn’t a huge worry. It’s also a great starting point if you want to take the look further and extend the lines over the face to give more impact, something I will definitely do when I reuse them (which you can do with some simple eyelash glue). Overall, it was a simple but effective Halloween party face.

Full disclosure, I loved In Your Dreams’ Pride collection (which gives 10% of profits to LGBTQ+ charity, AKT). The Spectrum Stars are dinky and adorable, but they’re also bright, colourful and fun. For Halloween, there’s loads of face stickers and gems to choose from. I channelled Karen from Mean Girls – “I’m a mouse, duh.” Pros are it’s an instant look with less effort involved than whacking out the face paint.

Cons are, it’s a little fiddlier to get on and stuck down (especially around eyes) than I thought. If you’re good with false lashes, you’d be fine. If you’re not, you might need a little extra patience. Also, I’d recommend placing the strips a few millimetres back from your eyes and lash line, otherwise, the gems can feel pretty scratchy and uncomfortable. But, for a look that costs less than a tenner and takes under five minutes, it does the job.
