Adele fans are giving us all a lot to think about with their theories about the pop artist’s new album. Billboard reports that on Tuesday, radio host Mauler from The Morning Hot Tub and Stingray Hit List Countdown inspired the recent flurry of Twitter activity. In a now deleted tweet, he wrote, “New Adele. This week.”
So far, that has proved to not be the case. But that same day, Billboard Charts Twitter account shared some of the stats around Adele’s past history of album success, making fans think there was some industry collusion around drumming up press:

In April of 2019, Adele split with her husband Simon Konecki, which will likely make for some more heartfelt break up songs for all of us to weep along with. A divorce, though, will definitely derail plans and the coronavirus hit not long after. It’s possible that Adele is still going to release a “30” album, even if it’s coming a few years late.
