Kanye West Seems to Imply He Cheated on Kim Kardashian “After Two Kids” In New Song

The rapper included the suggestive lyrics in the track “Hurricane” off his new album Donda.

It sounds like there might be more that precipitated Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s divorce than was initially reported judging by some of the lyrics on the rapper’s new album, Donda.

In the song “Hurricane” off his tenth studio album, West seems to imply that he cheated on his estranged wife after the birth of their second child, Saint. He raps, “Here I go actin’ too rich / Here I go with a new chick / And I know what the truth is / Still playin’ after two kids / It’s a lot to digest when your life always movin’.” He then goes on to reference the couple’s Calabasas mansion which was featured on the cover of Architectural Digest in February of last year, suggesting that he had effectively stopped living there even before their split. “Architectural Digest, but I needed home improvement / Sixty-million-dollar home, never went home to it / Genius gone clueless, it’s a whole lot to risk / Alcohol anonymous, who’s the busiest loser?,” West says. This line also makes sense given that the Grammy winner spent much of 2020 at the family’s home in Wyoming with Kim and their four children often traveling to go visit him.

And according to a handful of sources who spoke to Page Six, West’s lyrics are exactly what they sound like — a confession. “The song is in a way his testimony of everything he did wrong and taking accountability for their marriage breakdown,” one source said. Another explained that the “new chick” in question is not a reference to his short-lived, rumored relationship with Irina Shayk as, “If you look closer to the lyrics, he is referring to his infidelity during his marriage with Kim, even after two kids.” However, those insiders also confirmed that this alleged infidelity was clearly not the ultimate cause for their split as they went on to have two more children together — Chicago and Psalm — before the reality star officially filed for divorce in January of this year.
