Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus Are Reportedly Engaged

The couple, who first met in 2015, are parents to a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

After five years of dating and two and a half years of co-parenting, it seems that Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus are finally engaged.

A source confirmed to People that the very private couple are betrothed, although representatives for the pair had no comment on the subject. Kruger and Reedus first met in 2015 on the set of the movie Sky in which they co-starred as romantic leads. But they didn’t go public with their relationship until March 2017 when they were spotted kissing and holding hands while walking around New York City. In March 2018, the actress sparked pregnancy rumors after appearing at the Cannes Film Festival in several loose-fitting outfits. And by November of that year, she gave birth to her first child, a daughter, and Reedus’s second. The Walking Dead star is also father to a 21-year-old son, Mingus, from his prior five-year relationship with model Helena Christensen which ended in 2003. Kruger previously dated Joshua Jackson for 10 years before they broke up in the summer of 2016.

The couple has kept the details of their relationship and family life completely private, choosing not to reveal the name, birthday, or face of their firstborn. However, for a Father’s Day tribute this year, Kruger posted two photos of her partner with their daughter on Instagram, writing, “We ❤️ U Papa. Happy Father’s Day to the one with the sweetest heart.” Christensen celebrated Reedus’s parenting as well, sharing a photo of him holding hands with his toddler daughter and Mingus while on a walk, writing, “Happy Father’s Day to the father of our son (and his lil sis) We raised a good one.” In 2019, Kruger also made a rare public statement about their child, telling People, “She’s not really girlie, she’s kind of a dude.” But even so, the longtime Chanel brand ambassador is still saving some of her things to pass down to her daughter one day, adding, “It’s fun to have a girl, I will say. I like that, too.”
