Maurice and Jessica Gibson’s recent social media activity has proven their breakup since last appearing on Love After Lockup. The married couple has been taking jabs at each other online as Maurice enjoys life with his new girlfriend Mandy. Spectators have been blasting Maurice and his new girlfriend while watching Jessica raise their son, Ma’Liq Gibson, all on her own. According to Maurice, however, Jessica is a bitter ex-wife who is preventing him from seeing his son.
Many viewers were rooting for Maurice and Jessica during Love After Lockup season 3. Maurice, an LA native, was hoping to change his life around for the better. In turn, Jessica was looking forward to building a future with Maurice and starting a family. The only issue was the reluctance that Jessica’s family expressed over her relationship. Alas, after enough begging, Maurice was able to win Jessica’s father over and even got his wife pregnant. Unfortunately, since welcoming their son in 2020, a visible strain ultimately led to the pair parting ways, which started a nasty battle on social media.
Maurice has come under fire in recent weeks after a woman by the name of Mandy confirmed her newfound romance with him. In a screenshot captured by Starcasm, Mandy shared a shirtless pic of Maurice while teasing their courtship. “Missing my baby, can’t wait to be back in your arms,” Mandy wrote over Maurice’s pic. The WeTV star followed it up by reposting it and telling his new girlfriend to stop asking him if he misses her. All the while, however, Jessica has been sharing photos with their son, and Maurice is noticeably absent. To make matters worse, Maurice appears to be playing a stepfather role to his new girlfriend’s daughter while his ex-wife raises their son by herself.
In a series of Instagram Story posts, Maurice and Mandy hinted at tying the knot while Jessica insinuates that Maurice can get arrested if he’s married to two people at once. After being asked why he left Jessica as a single mom, Maurice claimed that she’s been preventing him from seeing his son because she is bitter about him moving on. According to hearsay, Maurice’s arrest earlier this year restricted him from leaving California. As a result, Jessica has been in Las Vegas raising their baby boy while Maurice found time to get a new leading lady. Most recently, a Reddit fan captured a screenshot of an alleged text message conversation that Jessica shared online showing her estranged husband claiming to only be using Mandy for a place to stay after he became homeless.
The alleged texts indicate that Maurice wants Jessica to be more understanding about him having a side chick. He also allegedly claimed that Mandy was jealous of Jessica over money. Maurice has been posting videos on his Instagram defending Mandy and their relationship, but Love After Lockup fans are on Jessica’s side for being a single mom forced to watch her baby daddy entertain another woman.
