[Trailer] Neill Blomkamp’s New Movie ‘Demonic’ Uses Sci-fi Technology to Unleash a Nightmare Demon

Neill Blomkamp (District 9) is back this year with new supernatural horror movie Demonic, set for theatrical, On Demand and Digital release via IFC Midnight on August 20, 2021.

In Demonic, a young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades-old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed.

We’ve been informed, “The film uses a patent-pending new method of using volumetric capture (a three-dimensional video technology that turns actors into geometric objects). The amount of volumetric capture in Demonic is the most ever seen in a feature film.”

Check out the brand new official trailer down below, which looks like Blomkamp’s own sci-fi twist on A Nightmare on Elm Street, using mind-altering technology in the place of dreams…

Carly Pope (Elysium), Chris William Martin (The Age of Adaline, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, The Vampire Diaries), and Michael Rogers (Siren, The Blacklist, Supernatural) star.
